SSHDA is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political organization established in the year 2000 to provide humanitarian assistance the peoples of the Sool, Sanaag and Hawd (SSH) regions of Somalia. The principal office of SSHDA is located in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. SSHDA is dedicated to improving children’s education, disease prevention and improving the health of the local communities, and the empowerment of civil society.

The SSH Pilot Educational Project, which has turned great results.
The Musa Yare Project: in 2001 SSHDA helped raise more than towards the treatment of young Somali boy, who suffered a rare disease and physical deformity. The child was flown to Australia where he was successfully treated.
SSHDA established an Electronic group, which brings together over 600 members, who share ideas and information regarding developmental issued as pertains to SSH regions.
SSHDA achieved a tax exemption status in the U.S. under the IRS §501(c)(3). |
